A Devastating Defeat

2267, April 16th: The AR suffered a devastating defeat in Operation Doorknock. Their forces severely underestimated the strength of their crippled opponent. SE ground squadrons put up a heavy resistance against AR boarding parties. 87 AR soldiers were killed in the assault, while SE lost only 28 men. After the operation it was discovered a ring of conspirators sought to desert the war effort after a string of defeats resulting in low morale. They were tried and punished for their crimes against the Republic.
